Our assignment is to recreate a painting from a french impressionist. I chose Van Gogh because i like the contrast in this painting. Unfortunately when i picked this i wasnt aware that Van Gogh paints by literally pouring the paint on to the canvas and working it out. His painting usually are usually about 3 inchs thick with paint. He had a rich brother that supported him and bought him his material.<br /><br />When i started i wanted to put it on a large canvas too. I don't have a rich brother and so now im working on recreating the painting without spending a fortune on oils.
